The Hasbrouck Heights Police Department is currently accepting resumes for Dispatchers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old
- Must be a United States citizen
- Must be a resident of Bergen County
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or general equivalence degree
- Must be able to pass background check
- Ability to speak and read the English language, multi-language is beneficial
- A current CPR, NJ Basic Telecommunicator Certification and NJ Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification is preferred, but not required
Applicants are expected to have the ability to:
- Work holidays
- Work 12-hour shifts
- To multi-task in a high stress, fast paced environment
- To have proficient typing skills
- Possess above average communications skills, to clearly relay accurate information under stressful conditions
