The Hasbrouck Heights Mayor’s Committee on Community Celebrations will hold its annual Holiday Residential and Commercial Decorating Contest again this year!
The preliminary round of judging will be held the weekend of Friday, December 12th, through Sunday, December 14th. The final round of judging will be held the following weekend of Friday, December 19th through Sunday, December 21st. The Committee will look at all the houses and businesses in town.
Interested residents and businesses just need to have their decorations clearly displayed and their lights turned on from 7pm until 10pm on the contest judging nights. Please also make sure that the home address / number is clearly visible to the committee members who will be driving by to judge.
This year, the contest categories are:
- Magical Masterpiece – Best General Display (all decorations on and around the house)
- Clark Griswold – This category is all about lights
- Full of Hot Air – Best display of inflatables/blowups
- Window Wonderland – Best display of window decorations
- Decorated Entranceway
- Holiday Lane – Streets that contain the greatest amount of decorated houses
- Santa’s Workshop – Best General Display by a business/commercial establishment
